Promoting good health through food

We strive to offer quality, safe, healthy, nutritionally balanced and diversified products every day. We also provide food products suitable for consumers with specific needs or preferences.

Our strategy is based on:

  • investing in the quality and innovativeness of our Private Brands;
  • ensuring food safety;
  • offering a trustworthy service;
  • providing complete nutritional information on the products we sell.

Our priorities

Reformulations

We reduce ingredients such as salt, sugar and fat in our products, making them healthier.

Differentiated Solutions

We create solutions for people with special dietary needs.

Communication

We offer nutritional information to help consumers make the right choice.

Food Safety

We invest in the certification and monitoring of products, facilities and processes.

Our policies

To successfully implement our strategy, we design policies that guide our actions.

NUTRITIONAL POLICY

We are aware of our responsibility to help consumers make decisions that contribute to a healthy lifestyle and help prevent diseases that are serious public health problems, such as diabetes, osteoporosis and cardiovascular disease.

The Jerónimo Martins Group’s Nutritional Policy is based on the Guidelines for Europe published by the World Health Organization and is in line with the priorities defined in the 2030 UN Sustainable Development Goals. This policy comprises the principles for the development of our Private Brands.

PRODUCT QUALITY AND SAFETY POLICY

We offer consumers safe and quality products at competitive prices while striving to minimise their impacts on ecosystems.

The Product Quality and Safety Policy aims to improve compliance with the law and of stakeholder engagement when building our brands. Our product quality and safety standards have a solid scientific basis, and we undertake specific commitments to develop more responsible products when it comes to animal testing, genetically modified organisms and microplastics, among other commitments.
